Biography

I’m a creative leader based out of Los Angeles with ~15 years’ experience in design and product development. I’ve designed products and managed brands for billion dollar corporations and public institutions alike. While I’ve worked in many fields (editorial, brand, art direction, photo & video production) I have specialized experience in developing and shipping multi-platform digital products

Outside of work I’m spend my time bouldering with friends, working on illustration projects, and learning languages —I’ve got a ~1k day streak on Duolingo where I’ve been learning Welsh for a while.

I’m always down to geek out on history, design process, and cooking.

Staff Product Designer

Design lead on Ecosystem features including bulk messaging, automation and CRM. Developed procedures, guidelines, and UI patterns for AI feature development with inputs from software architects, product management and support. Pivoted campaign messaging feature into performance driven platform bulk messaging product. Developed go-to-market strategies and first-time-user-experiences to drive AI-feature user adoption and informed opt-ins.

Staff Product Designer

Design lead on search, data-driven content discovery and user engagement initiatives.  Launched updated global wiki experience across 30 Million pages of content. Designed and shipped new theming tools, on-boarding flows, and page components. Contributed to design system, including support for light & dark dynamic themes with accessibility baked-in.

Principal Product Designer, Senior UX Design Manager

Managed team of UX designers, UX Research, and UX Technologists. Principal designer for flagship learning, and workforce management products. Principal designer and implementation lead for design system. Implemented UX technologist role to better align product & engineering. Design lead in customer and user research on product pivot strategy, shaping product road-map. Lead system wide UI overhaul with an emphasis on WCAG compliance.

Senior UX Designer

Designed and shipped four new products in new and established markets, to over 4 million users. Design lead in early ideation and requirement gathering, design partner in regulated user research and testing and final polish. Design lead in collaborative team with data science & genetics to design queries and shape ontological systems for users, user data., and user generated content. Member of recruiting and mentor cohort for intern program.

Adjunct Instructor, UX & Design Systems

First cohort UX instructor, authored curriculum and taught second year User Experience design courses; my courses focused on feature creation in existing products, spinning up net-new products, and methods for conducting user research.  Taught advanced typography and layout courses, focusing on type and grid as design-system.

Managed a team of ~26 print designers, interactive designers photographers, videographers, writers, and front-end developers. Senior lead in global communications strategy and brand management and partner programs. Senior lead in sales marketing merchandising and trend forecasting on sales incentives. Hiring manager for multiple teams. Reported directly to C-suite.

Senior Designer, Brand & Marketing

Design lead over office of marketing and communications, overseeing brand and asset management, including environmental graphics, brand installations. Oversaw complete overhaul of web-presence and product collateral. Consulted on UX/IxD/UI for mobile app.
